This weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, as Kaz Grala closes out his rookie year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and FURY concludes its first season as a NASCAR competitor, they are both thrilled to welcome new partner Hot Scream, The Spicy Ice Cream, to the sport. Hot Scream is produced by Escape Brands, whose mission is to bring new and innovative premium quality dessert treats to the world. Hot Scream is currently available in Connecticut and Rhode Island, and will be rolling out nationally in 2019.
“We are very excited to be joining Kaz Grala and FURY at Homestead, and it is our hope that this is just the beginning of our partnership together,” said Escape Brands President Jeff Russitano. “We’re thrilled to introduce Hot Scream to the NASCAR audience; keep an eye out on our social media pages for updates on Hot Scream’s expansion across the United States.”
Hot Scream will be making its NASCAR debut this weekend on the hood of the No. 61 Ford Mustang as Grala returns to an oval racetrack for the first time in four months. Grala, whose last four races have been road courses, is coming off of one of his strongest NXS weekends of the season at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. In that September 29 event, Grala earned points in both Stage 1 and 2 before claiming an eighth-place finish at the track.
Grala will be making his first Xfinity Series start Homestead-Miami Speedway, though the 19-year-old has five starts at 1.5-mile tracks in the series this year. Grala also has one previous start at Homestead in last year’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season finale.
“First of all, I’m so glad that we have Hot Scream on board this weekend. I’ve tried their ice cream and I really enjoyed it; it’s such a great balance of spicy and sweet. Homestead-Miami Speedway is unquestionably the most challenging track on the NASCAR schedule. The track surface tests the teams in ways that are entirely unique to Homestead, and has a way of separating the best cars and drivers from the rest of the pack. It’s the perfect place to settle a championship, and the perfect place for FURY to showcase its capabilities while competing against the best teams in the sport. It’s been over a month since our last race, and I haven’t raced on an oval at all in four months. I’m more than ready to finally get back on track, especially at my all-time favorite intermediate track. This year has been a roller-coaster ride so far, and I can’t thank everyone at FURY enough for sticking behind me and working so hard to have the success that we’ve had so quickly as a team. Hopefully we can end our wild 2018 season with the perfect finale race this weekend at Homestead.”
