Nemechek was involved in an incident on lap 38 in Turn 2 which ended his and the GMS Racing team’s day early.

– Nemechek finished 29th in Stage One and ninth in Stage Two, collecting a total of two Playoff points.

– Nemechek is currently scored in the tenth-position in the driver standings and is 44 points behind Michael Annett who is in ninth-place.

“We had a solid No. 23 Chevy Accessories Camaro today and leaving Mid-Ohio the way we did is really disappointing. I spun early in the race and fought back into the top-10 but then was in the wrong place at the wrong time when the wreck in Turn 2 happened. Allgaier got turned around and hit our right front which led to the suspension failure. I’m ready to have a break at road-course racing and get to Bristol next weekend. We need to get this bad luck off our back and start bringing home top-five’s and top-10’s again.”
