GARRETT SMITHLEY AND THE NO. 0 RACECAR TO BE PART OF THE FORT LIGONIER DAYS PARADE

With the NASCAR Xfinity Series taking the weekend off, driver Garrett Smithley will return to his home town of Fort Ligonier, P.A., to take part in the annual Fort Ligonier Days festival and parade this Saturday, October 14th.

Smithley and his No. 0 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro, with sponsorship from Ligonier Stone and Lime Concrete, will roll through downtown with the parade starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. Afterwards, Smithley will have an autograph session at Mack M. Darr Co. on West Main Street starting 2:00 p.m. Local asphalt track, Jennerstown Speedway, will be bringing out a simulator to race with Smithley.

“I’m incredibly excited and honored to be asked to participate in the Fort Ligonier Days parade,” said Smithley. “When I was a kid, going to Fort Days was one of my favorite things to do, and I haven’t been back for over 10 years, so it’s going to be pretty cool to see my family and all my hometown fans!”

“Celebrating Our Past, Building Our Future” is the theme for Fort Ligonier Days, 2017. This town-wide celebration has grown over more than half a century to be one of the most anticipated and popular fall festivals in the tri-state area.
