- SAWALICH AT FLAT ROCK: William Sawalich made his track debut in last year’s ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) race at Flat Rock Speedway. Sawalich qualified fourth and ran there for the majority of the race, saving tires until he made the pass for the lead with 48 laps remaining. Sawalich led the remainder of the race to capture the win, his second AMSE victory of 2023.
- LAST TIME OUT: Sawalich won his first race of the AMSE season this past weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The No. 18 took the lead on lap five and never looked back. He took the checkered flag, he narrowly missed out on last year at the track, for his second win in the No. 18 Toyota Camy this year (Phoenix Raceway, ARCA Menards Series West). He now sits second in the AMSE standings, five points behind leader Connor Zilisch.
- 2023 ARCA EAST CHAMPION: Sawalich claimed the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) championship at Bristol Motor Speedway. He ended the AMSE season with four wins and finished in the top-five in all eight races on the AMSE schedule. He became the second AMSE champion for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.
