Dye Prepared to Chase Down Playoff Spot in Kansas

Coming Back Strong… Daniel Dye is set to make his third appearance at Kansas Speedway on Saturday evening. The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) was off for two weeks following the last event at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) where Dye tied his career-best finish of sixth. The Floridian has continued the best start to a season of his young career and has a position among the provisional playoff grid in his sights as the tour turns to the “Sunflower State”.

Career-Best Start … A strong opening seven races has landed Dye in the playoff conversation. His average finish of 16.3 to begin the season has the 20-year-old trending nearly four positions better than his rookie campaign a year ago. Two top-10 finishes have already doubled his total from 2023 and his four top-15 results have placed him within reach of the playoff bubble. He enters Kansas just five points behind the cut line with nine races remaining in the regular season. His exemplary qualifying efforts have been a major catalyst to his strong start with an average starting position of 11.3. Five top-10 qualifying efforts have yielded 17 stage points for Dye thus far.

MHR x Kansas… Since 2020, MHR has made 12 total entries at Kansas with seven top-10 results. This includes two top-five results and one victory, which came with Dye’s teammate Christian Eckes in September 2023. MHR has an average start of 10 with the best being a pole position earned by Eckes last spring. With the strength Dye has shown at 1.5-mile tracks this season, he looks to add to MHR’s impressive track record in the heartland.

Tune In … FOX Sports 1 (FS1) has all the action from Kansas covered on Saturday. FS1 comes on the air at Noon ET with practice and qualifying followed by NASCAR Raceday at 7:00 p.m. ET, and the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET. Daniel Dye Quote:

On entering Kansas 11th in the standings:

“Coming off that sixth-place finish at Texas was big for our team. We have some momentum and we’re putting stronger runs together more often. These guys on our Race to Stop Suicide Chevrolet have been doing a great job bringing fast trucks to the track, and that’s definitely shown with how well we’ve qualified. We’re going to try to keep it going this week at Kansas. I’d love to get our first top-five finish and get ourselves into the playoff mix also.”
