  • CREED AT TEXAS: Sheldon Creed and the No. 18 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Toyota GR Supra team head to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300. Creed has three Xfinity Series starts in Fort Worth, having earned two top-10s and a best finish of seventh, while cumulatively holding an average finish of 13.7. Creed also has six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, where he holds one win, two poles, and 145 laps led.
  • MARTINSVILLE RECAP: Creed used Martinsville to rebound from a stretch of bad luck. After qualifying third, Creed ran in the top-five for most of the day as he scored a second-place finish in stage one and a sixth place finish in stage two.  By the end of the race, Creed had a shot at the win and went for it, as he took the leaders three-wide on the exit of turn two during overtime. The hard racing forced Creed into the curb and knocked him back to a sixth-place finish on the night.
  • DASH 4 CASH: Creed’s sixth-place finish in Martinsville earned him the final qualifying spot for the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash. This will mark Creed’s second time competing for the Dash 4 Cash prize, as he qualified in Talladega last season, but came up short to Cole Custer at Dover the following week. This weekend, Creed will be competing against Chandler Smith, Sam Mayer, and Justin Allgaier for the $100,000 grand prize.
  • FRIENDS OF JACLYN FOUNDATION: Founded in 2005, the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers while raising awareness for said diseases. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for children and their families battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers by pairing them with local teams, clubs, and community groups. FOJ has currently made over 1000 adoptions and their mission is to continue to raise awareness through our Adopt-A-Child, Safe on the Sidelines, and Guardian Angel Programs.
  • ON THE PITBOX: Crew chief Sam McAulay will lead the No. 18 Toyota GR Supra crew this season. Despite his rookie status, McAulay is an established mind at JGR as he joined the organization in 2007 and worked his way up the ranks from intern to lead race engineer for the No. 11 Cup Series entry of Denny Hamlin. Since the start of his tenure on the No. 11 in 2017, McAulay has contributed to 25 victories, including three Daytona 500 wins and a Coke 600 win as a crew chief when he filled-in for the suspended Chris Gabehart in 2022.
  • JGR AT TEXAS: Joe Gibbs Racing has 17 Xfinity Series victories in 116 combined starts at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch, Erik Jones, Christopher Bell, Harrison Burton, and John Hunter Nemechek have all taken a JGR Toyota to victory lane in the lone star state. To go along with the wins, JGR has scored 46 top-fives, 74 top-10s, ten poles, and an impressive average finish of 11.5 since making their first start at the track in 1998.

  • RACE INFO: Coverage of this weekend’s Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1, PRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Sheldon Creed, Driver of the No. 18 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Toyota GR Supra:

“It seems like the team got things back on track in Martinsville. How are you hoping to build on the strong run?”

“We’re just taking things one race at a time right now. This team is super capable and the main goal is always to win races, but it’s a long season and we’ve got to focus on the small wins before we can get distracted by the big ones. I’m hoping to follow up last week with another strong day, collect stage points early on, and then hopefully hold up that Dash 4 Cash check at the end of the day. If we’re in a position to win, I’m always going to go for it, but for now, momentum and consistency is the name of the game.”
