Arrive early at WWTR’s NASCAR watch party on Sunday to view the NASCAR Mexico King Taco: La Batalla en el Coliseo and receive a free ticket to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200 in June

World Wide Technology Raceway

World Wide Technology Raceway will host a watch party for the NASCAR Cup Series Busch Light Clash on Sunday, at Zapata’s Restaurant & Cantina, in Collinsville, Illinois, from 5-9 p.m.

The NASCAR Mexico Series will kick off the festive – and grueling — day of racing with the King Taco: La Batalla en el Coliseo at 3:30 p.m. Drivers to watch in the Mexico Series race include veteran NASCAR Cup Series star Daniel Suárez, defending and two-time Mexico Series champion Salvador de Alba Jr., four-time series champion Rubén García Jr., and Andrés Pérez de Lara.

Racing fans are invited to gather and witness the thrilling NASCAR Mexico Series race, followed by the Last Chance Qualifying Race for the Busch Light Clash at 5:40 p.m., and the main event, the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum race, at 7 p.m.

Fans who arrive early to watch the NASCAR Mexico Series action at 3:30 p.m. will receive a complimentary ticket to WWTR’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200 at WWTR on June 1.

Festivities will include drink specials and ticket giveaways. Zapata’s is located at 8 Eastport Plaza Drive in Collinsville, just 14 minutes from the speedway. Parking is free.

The 2024 NASCAR season kickoff is taking place at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, site of the 1932 Olympics. Harkening back to the sport’s roots, a special quarter-mile oval track has been constructed inside the stadium. The length of the track ensures constant action during the 150-lap race. At the inaugural Coliseum event in 2023, Martin Truex Jr. held off Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch to take the win. Twenty-two cars finished on the lead lap.

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to WWTR on Sunday, June 2, for the third annual Enjoy Illinois 300. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200 will kick off the race weekend on Saturday, June 1. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased by calling the speedway’s ticket office at (618) 215-8888 or online at Follow WWTRaceway on social media.
