Trackhouse Racing announced today Matt Swiderski will join the organization as the crew chief of the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and driver Daniel Suárez for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.
“Matt is a proven winner with a dynamic engineering background, and we are confident he will pair well with Daniel,” said Trackhouse founder and owner Justin Marks.
Swiderski, 42, has spent nearly 20 years in NASCAR, most recently as as crew chief for Kaulig Racing’s No.16 Chevrolet Camaro. Last year with driver AJ Allmendinger the duo won on the road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway and posted four top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

Last year with driver AJ Allmendinger the duo won on the road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway and posted four top-five and seven top-10 finishes.
In 2022, Swiderski oversaw the No. 16 that was shared by AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Noah Gragson. It posted three top-five and nine top-10 finishes. In 2021, Swiderski and Allmendinger combined to win on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In the Cup Series, Swiderski has been on the top of the pit box for two wins, nine top-five, and 20 top-ten finishes.
Prior to his time at Kaulig Racing, Swiderski served as crew chief for the No. 12 Team Penske NASCAR Xfinity Series Team and crew chief for the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Xfinity Series team where he also held vehicle performance and engineering management roles since 2005. He also served as an engineer in the Dynamics Group at SpaceX.
He joins a No. 99 team that begins its fourth season with Suárez behind the wheel. The 31-year-old driver became the first Mexican driver to win a Cup series race when he dominated at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway in June of 2021. Since joining Trackhouse Racing in 2021, Suarez has posted 10 top-five and 27 top-10 finishes.
Swiderski said he hopes to add to those numbers.

The Chicago native was drawn to racing at a young age and attended Kettering University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering. Later, Swiderski would go on to get his Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season begins Feb. 18 in the 65th annual Daytona 500.
