Already with one win this season, Austin Prock and the Montana Brand / Rocky Mountain Twist Chevrolet dragster team enter this weekend’s NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway sitting third in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Top Fuel points standings.

Prock has emerged as a prominent figure in the Top Fuel category, having secured victory in three out of his past 12 national events reaching back to the 2022 Countdown. This season he has gone to the finals twice in the last four event. His most recent triumph in Charlotte at the Four-Wide Nationals, was a significant milestone marking his first victory of the season, first in Four-Wide and first in Top Fuel for seasoned crew chief Chris Cunningham, who was previously part of the crew chief tandem on Robert Hight’s Funny Car with Jimmy Prock.

“I’m looking forward to firing things off strong in Epping. Always love going there because of the history, it’s an old school track, and the fans are always great,” Prock said. “It’s going to be interesting with the swings in weather this weekend, but I believe our Montana Brand / Rocky Mountain Twist team will be able to overcome any conditions. Hoping for another solid weekend to keep chipping away at the points standings.”

With only two previous starts at New England Dragway, Prock has qualified in the top half of the field in both 2019 and 2022. Last season he raced his way to the semifinals losing only to eventual race winner Mike Salinas.

The NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway starts with qualifying Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday eliminations are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. Television coverage will be aired on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET, Saturday at 9:00 p.m. ET, and eliminations are slated to begin Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
