  • Bounty Rookie Challenge contender Sean Hingorani scored his second consecutive ARCA Menards Series West victory in Saturday’s NAPA Auto Parts BlueDEF Premium 150 at Kern County Raceway Park. Hingorani started from the front row but was forced to come down pit road to serve a pass-through penalty for beating the pole sitter to the start-finish line on the initial start. Hingorani fell off the lead lap as a result, but passed leader Landen Lewis to regain his lead lap status just before the mid-race break. Hingorani took the lead at lap 112 and led the rest of the to take the win.
  • With the team’s victory earlier in the ARCA Menards Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, Venturini Motorsports became the first time in the consolidated ARCA Menards Series platform to win two platform races on the same day.
  • Landen Lewis won last year at Kern County Raceway Park in his first career ARCA Menards Series West start. He picked up where he left off, pacing the field in practice and earning the General Tire Pole Award in qualifying. He led the first 111 laps before losing the lead to Hingorani and settled for second, his third consecutive runner-up finish. Lweis is the only driver to finish among the top five in all three West races in 2023.
  • Lewis unofficially leads the ARCA Menards Series West standings by five points over Phoenix winner Tyler Reif. Hingorani jumped to third, nine points behind the leader.
  • Monon Rahman earned his first career victory as a crew chief as he was on top of the pit boxcalling the shots for Hingorani and the Venturini Motorsports team. Rahman is the first Bengalese to win an ARCA Menards Series platform race as a crew chief.
  • Trevor Huddleston scored his best finish of the season in third.
  • Tanner Reif earned his second consecutive top-five finish in fourth, while Bradley Erickson notched his second top-five of the season in fifth.
  • Tyler Reif finished sixth, his third top-ten finish of the season. Reif, Lewis, Huddleston, and Erickson are the only drivers to finish among the top ten in all three West races so far in 2023.
  • Jake Bollman made his second career West start and rebounded from a late-race crash in his debut at Irwindale to finish seventh.
  • Fifteen-year-old Ethan Nascimento earned his first career top-ten finish in eighth.
  • Todd Souza started fourth but fought a loose racecar throughout the race, dropping to ninth at the finish.
  • Nick Joanides started shotgun on the field in a racecar that was recently acquirted from the former Bob Bruncati-owned Sunrise Racing team. He stayed out of trouble throughout race, rounding out the top ten.
  • The next race for the ARCA Menards Series West is the Portland 112 at Portland International Raceway on Friday, June 2. The race will be streamed live on FloRacing starting at 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT.
