Talladega Superspeedway is proud to host ImportAlliance, a grassroots import car meet, for theImportAlliance Summer Meet 2018 at NASCAR’s biggest track this weekend, July 21-22. The event welcomes car enthusiasts from all over the United States to bring their import cars or their love of imports to one of the biggest car meets of the summer, all taking place in the famous infield.
ImportAlliance, based out of Nashville, TN, is about the import cars and the people who drive them. It is how people who enjoy import cars get together and have fun while learning things to make their cars better. It is not a car show, but about the passionate import car enthusiasts and the beautiful cars they’ve crafted.
From the competitor show car builder to the “in process” builder to the daily driven/weekend autocross competitor, everyone is welcome to participate in the event. The meet is open to the public and admission is $20.99 for both days, per person, in advance online ($30 per person at the gate). Kids 10 and younger get in FREE. The ImportAlliance concept is the brainchild of a group of Nashville, Tennessee based import car owners and enthusiasts. The three principal owners of ImportAlliance, Ron Cartmell, Don Napier, and Omari Winbush, embarked upon the mission of organizing a grass roots event to bring together all aspects of the import car culture in April of 2006. The first ImportAlliance occurred on July 30, 2006 and was a tremendous success. Since then they have grown to become the largest all import car meet in the country.
