After a 2-week break, Wendell Chavous anxiously awaits getting back behind the wheel of his No.49 Sobriety Nation, Chevy Silverado for Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ‘Alpha Energy Solutions 250’ at Martinsville Speedway.
Chavous makes no qualms that racing at Martinsville was something he wasn’t too fond of several years ago. But he feels much differently about the shortest track on the circuit now and he is looking forward to racing there this weekend.
“I’ve learned a lot about how to race at Martinsville since my first time there a few years ago. Last year in the fall, we did well, and my truck felt good! It was great to come out of there with a clean truck and a better understanding of the track. I owe a lot of that to my crew chief (Brian Keselowski) and the guys at the shop. Now I’m looking forward to this weekend, so I can keep improving and hopefully score another good finish for Jay (Robinson) and Joe (Testino – owner Sobriety Nation). It’ been a very good season for us so far.” – Wendell Chavous
