HRE and Ryan Truex add Bass Pro Shops as Primary Sponsor at Talladega

Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) is pleased to welcome Bass Pro Shops to Ryan Truex’s No. 16 Toyota Tundra for the 19th race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. Bass Pro Shops, the leading outdoor destination retailer based in Springfield, Missouri, joins HRE as primary sponsor of Truex and the No. 16 team.
Partnering with Truex and HRE adds to the legacy of Bass Pro Shops in NASCAR as well as with the Truex family and at Talladega Superspeedway.
“Having Bass Pro Shops come on board for Talladega this weekend is huge for our team,” Truex said. “They have been a big part of my brother’s (Martin Truex Jr.) career for a long time and it’s very special to have them with us this weekend. Martin won an XFINITY race with Bass Pro Shops at Talladega back in 2006, so we’re going to do everything we can to get them back in victory lane on Saturday afternoon.”
Truex and Bass Pro Shops have a previous connection in the NCWTS. The partnership combined for two races in 2013 and 2014 when Truex nearly won the season opener in ’14 at Daytona International Speedway and finished fourth.
Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO Johnny Morris is an avid racing fan and has a long relationship with NASCAR dating back to 1998. Bass Pro Shops and TRACKER Boats currently sponsor NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series points leader Martin Truex Jr. – Ryan’s brother. The partnership between Martin Truex Jr. and Bass Pro Shops was established in 2001. Bass Pro Shops and TRACKER Boats served as primary sponsor for Martin Truex Jr. during two Xfinity Series championships in 2004 and 2005.
