High-Speed Wi-Fi Coming to Camping World Racing Resort

In keeping with the Fall Season of Speed, Charlotte Motor Speedway has added a faster-than-ever method for campers to “connect” with the racing world. New to the Camping WorldRacing Resort this fall is high-density Wi-Fi, which will provide campers with high-performance wireless internet access – campers’ most-requested improvement from last year’s events.

This week, the speedway conducted tests for the new Wi-Fi access, which will power 380 campsites and include enterprise-grade access points. The addition of Wi-Fi to the campground joins the family-friendly playground as centerpiece amenities of an unrivaled camping experience for fans of all ages.

“Adding high-speed Wi-Fi to our Camping World Racing Resort allows Charlotte Motor Speedway to continue building on our ‘Fans First’ initiatives,” said Greg Walter, the speedway’s executive vice president. ”Race fans now use so many digital platforms to follow their favorite drivers and keep up with the sport. This new campground Wi-Fi will give the very best access to up-to-date information on charlottemotorspeedway.com, our mobile app, social media platforms and so much more during our event weeks.”

The high-speed internet Wi-Fi will be available for all major race events including the Sept. 15-17 NHRA Carolina Nationals, the first race in the NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship, the Oct. 6-8 Bank of America 500 – NASCAR’s annual homecoming spectacle; and the Nov. 2-4 World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Camping World Racing Resort campsites for the NHRA Carolina Nationals typically sell out before race week, so fans are encouraged to call and reserve their spot while spaces are still available.
