Spencer Speedway to Open for the 70th Season With Race of Champions Management

Race of Champions management has once again reached an agreement with property owner and former Spencer Speedway promoter, John White, to lease the facility for the 2025 season. The six (6) race season will be significant as it highlights the 70th annual opening of the Williamson, NY, half-mile speedplant.

Six (6) events will highlight the 2025 schedule along with an open practice early in the season.

Opening night at Spencer will be Friday, May 23rd, which will be a truly special night for fans and regional racing families. A formal announcement for the event will be made just after the New Year.

The Race of Champion Sportsman Modified Series will highlight the card on Friday, June 6th. The Race of Champions Modified Series will run the Whittaker Ford F-50, 50-laps, $5,000-to-win on Friday, July 11th. The Sportsman will return on Friday, August 1 for “Fan Appreciation and Autograph Night”. The Sportsman will highlight “Apple Harvest Night” on Friday, August 15

The Maynard Troyer Classic VI for the Race of Champions Modified; Sportsman Modified and Rocket Performance 602 Sportsman Modified Series will once again take place on Friday, August 29 to close out the season with an incredible event. The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series race, part of the Maynard Troyer Classic VI will become part of the Sportsman Modified Series “Triple Crown” including the George Decker Memorial held at Holland (NY) International Speedway on Saturday, August 23 and Race of Champions Weekend Sportsman Modified Series feature, all of which will pay a minimum of $3,000-to-win. Practice will be tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 2.

Race fans are definitely in for a treat this season at Spencer with the type of events we will be hosting. We are looking forward to continuing the excitement that we have built.”

The “Food Truck Frenzy” featuring local food trucks and tastes from the area will also make its return with some unique additions.
