YellaWood Signs Race Entitlement Extension for Fall NASCAR Cup Series Playoff Race at Talladega Superspeedway

Talladega Superspeedway

Talladega Superspeedway announced today that YellaWood will remain the race entitlement partner for the pivotal fall NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race in a multi-year extension for the YellaWood 500.

“We’ve been partnering with YellaWood at Talladega since 2020 and we’ve had great success together sharing our Alabama roots,” said Talladega Superspeedway President Brian Crichton. “With the YellaWood 500 moving to the Round of 8 during the Playoffs next year, the stakes will be at an all-time high as the winner of that race could very well be the champion a couple weeks later.”

In addition to the race entitlement at Talladega Superspeedway, YellaWood will also have hospitality branding at multiple track properties throughout NASCAR tracks including Daytona International Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Martinsville Speedway and Watkins Glen International.

“The NASCAR and YellaWood partnership continues to prove to be extremely effective for us,” said YellaWood Owner, President and CEO Jimmy Rane. “Not only can we connect with a growing base of passionate fans, but we can do it in a way that marries with our core values. We are excited about the opportunity to continue our relationship with NASCAR and Talladega SuperSpeedway.”

The 2023 YellaWood 500 gave race fans some incredible action on the track. Ryan Blaney and Kevin Harvick battled during the last laps of the race, with Blaney ultimately edging Harvick out for the win while fending off William Byron behind him. Blaney led just eight laps during the race and ultimately would go on to be the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion.

Regular-season champion and Playoff contender Tyler Reddick returns to the famed superspeedway for the 2024 edition of the YellaWood 500 looking to go back-to-back this season. Reddick led just 13 laps in the Talladega spring race and looks for career win No. 8 in the Cup Series. Reddick currently sits on the outside looking in when it comes to advancing, as a repeat win would be crucial to his title hopes. After non-Playoff driver Ross Chastain won at Kansas Speedway last weekend, no drivers are locked into the next round yet.
