Back in Business… Daniel Dye is ready to return to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS), three weeks after making his playoffs debut at The Milwaukee Mile. The driver of the No. 43 Champion Container Silverado RST is coming off an eighth-place finish in the LIUNA 175, which helped him jump three positions in the playoff standings. Dye currently sits seventh in the standings with a nine-point cushion to the provisional cut line. He returns to Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) after finishing 13th in March and looks to post his third top-10 finish at a short track this season.

Points Pursuit… Dye has been on a tear in the standings by advancing from 13th to seventh since June 1st. Prior to the regular season finale at Richmond Raceway, Dye sat outside the playoff grid by five points. With his eighth-place result and his 42-point effort at Richmond, Dye was able to secure a playoff berth, becoming the first driver in NCTS history to bump into the playoff grid in the regular season finale. In his playoff debut at Milwaukee, Dye scored his second-consecutive eighth-place finish and earned 38-points. The performance advanced Dye to the seventh position in the playoff standings with two races remaining in the first round.

Second Year Charge… Dye has added some impressive numbers to his NCTS career stats in his second season. In his sophomore year, he has scored a career-high eight top-10 results through 17 races. His career best result prior to this season was a sixth-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway. Dye bested that mark at Nashville Superspeedway where he scored a runner-up finish to give MHR the organization’s second one-two finish. The Daytona Beach, Fla. native has been significantly more consistent with an average finish of 14.5 this season, nearly six positions better than his rookie season (20.2). Dye has also earned his first career pole award with the NCTS in the second event of the season at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Daniel Dye Quote:

On making his NCTS playoff debut:

“I’m really excited to get back in my No. 43 Champion container Chevy. The last time I was in the truck we had a really good day and was able to gain a good number of points. Being inside the bubble is a great spot, and we just need to keep performing how we have been recently to keep this momentum going. We have only gotten stronger in the last couple of months, and I am ready to show it again and get another strong result.”
