At the start of the 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season, there was a four-way battle for the Lady Trophy in EuroNASCAR 2. Luli Del Castello impressed with a total of seven class wins, beating out Alina Loibnegger, Arianna Casoli and Aliyyah Koloc. After a one-year break from NWES racing, the Italian will return to the EuroNASCAR 2 grid with CAAL Racing for the August 31-September 1 race at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.

“Finally, after a year and a half of waiting, I’m back in the championship I love so much,” said Del Castello about her comeback with Luca and Corrado Caneori’s top team. “I missed EuroNASCAR so much. I hope it’s just the foundation for a full-time return in the 2025 season. CAAL Racing gave me the opportunity to come back and I want to repay their trust in me with strong results at Most.”

With one more Lady Trophy win, Del Castello would tie with Erika Monforte, Francesca Linossi and Julia Landauer on the all-time Lady Trophy wins list. If she sweeps the NASCAR GP Czech Republic, she would move into fourth place on the all-time list with nine wins. Del Castello will reunite with EuroNASCAR PRO Champion Gianmarco Ercoli to share the #54 Chevrolet Camaro. The pair previously shared the car for the 2022 season.

The last time Del Castello visited the Autodrom Most, a 14th place finish was her best result. With two top-10 finishes under her belt, the 39-year-old is looking to improve her performance and fight for a top spot in the highly competitive EuroNASCAR 2 grid. The Roccaraso native is looking to make an impact and prepare for another full-time campaign in the 2025 NWES season. A strong showing at the Autodrom Most would definitely lay a good foundation for her to realize her plans for next year.
