No. 19 Operation 300 Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:
- GRAY AT MICHIGAN: This weekend NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race will be Gray’s track debut as he runs his ninth race in the series this season.
- 2024 SO FAR: Gray has run eight NXS with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) this season, with a best finish of third in his series debut at Richmond. Gray’s last race with JGR was at Pocono where he earned his second top-five finish of the season. The 19-year-old secured his spot in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) Playoffs last weekend in the regular season finale and will have a chance to compete for the series championship.
- ON THE PITBOX: Seth Chavka leads the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra team for the 2024 season as he embarks on his rookie season as a crew chief in the Xfinity Series. Chavka is no stranger to JGR, as he has spent time in the Cup Series shop as lead race engineer for the likes of Erik Jones, Kyle Busch, and most recently, Ty Gibbs, since starting his tenure with the team in 2019. Prior to joining JGR, Chavka spent seven years at Richard Childress Racing and one year at Kevin Harvick Inc. as an engineer. In his 13 years spent in NASCAR, Chavka has earned six NASCAR Cup Series victories and four Xfinity Series victories.
- NO. 19 IN 2024: The JGR No. 19 has a rotating schedule of drivers throughout the 2024 season. Aric Almirola, Josh Bilicki, Justin Bonsignore, Ty Gibbs, Joe Graf Jr., Brett Moffitt, Ryan Truex have already made starts behind the wheel. William Sawalich is also slated to run races later this year.
- JGR AT CHARLOTTE: Joe Gibbs Racing owns seven Xfinity Series wins at Michigan International Speedway, including victories by Ty Gibbs and John Hunter Nemechek the past two years. In 59 combined starts at the track, the organization has tallied 24 top-five finishes, 38 top-10s, two pole awards, and 557 laps led. Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suárez join Gibbs and Nemechek on the list of drivers who have taken JGR to victory lane at Michigan.
