  • Connor Zilisch (No. 28 Chevrolet Performance/Silver Hare Development Chevrolet) won the Atlas 150, giving his Pinnacle Racing Group team its second consecutive win at Iowa Speedway. The team earned its first career ARCA Menards Series victory at Iowa Speedway last June with Luke Fenhaus driving.
  • Zilisch’s victory is his second ARCA Menards Series win of 2024 in two starts; he also won the ARCA Menards Series/ARCA Menards Series East combination race earlier in the season at Dover Motor Speedway. The Atlas 150 also counts towards the ARCA Menards Series East championship and was his third East win of the year; he also won at Flat Rock Speedway.
  • Zilisch outdueled reigning ARCA Menards Series East champion William Sawalich (No. 18 Starkey/SoundGear Toyota) who finished second for the third time in five starts. Sawalich also finished second in the season opener at Five Flags Speedway and in the most recent East race at Flat Rock Speedway.
  • Gio Ruggiero (No. 20 JBL Audio Toyota) started from the General Tire Pole and finished third, his fourth top-five finish of the season and second consecutive third-place finish.
  • The top three finishers were also the top three in the ARCA Menards Series East championship standings.
  • Mason Mitchell (No. 23 Karl Chevrolet/B-Bop’s/SPS Chevrolet), the 2014 ARCA Menards Series national champion, made his first series start since 2018. The West Des Moines native qualified sixth and finished fourth, his first top-five finish since he won at Kansas Speedway in 2015, six starts ago.
  • Andy Jankowiak (No. 73 Acacia Energy/Dak’s Markets Toyota) scored his first top-five finish of 2024 and his first top-five since he finished fourth at Michigan International Speedway in 2023.
  • Andres Perez (No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet), who leads the ARCA Menards Series championship standings, finished sixth, his sixth top-ten finish in seven starts in 2024. He now unofficially leads the standings by 33 points over Greg Van Alst (No. 35 CB Fabricating/Top Choice Fence Ford) after Van Alst was eliminated in a crash on lap 24 and finished 23rd.
  • Van Alst was involved in a grinding turn three crash with Amber Balcaen (No. 22 ICON Direct Toyota) that also swept up Marco Andretti (No. 17 Group 1001 Chevrolet). Balcaen entered the race third in points but finished 24th, dropping her to sixth in the series standings.
  • Zilisch led 102 of the race’s 150 laps; Sawalich led the other 48. The two swapped the lead a total of six times. There were seven cautions for a total of 34 laps; the average speed was 65.771 miles per hour.
  • The next race for the ARCA Menards Series is this Friday afternoon, June 21, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The race will be televised live on FS1 starting at 6 pm ET. Live timing & scoring data will be available at ARCARacing.com.
