- Dylan Cappello scored his first career ARCA Menards Series West win in Friday night’s Star Nursery 150 at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Cappello, the lead engineer of the Front Row Motorsports Ford driven by Zane Smith in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, took the lead when then-leader Sean Hingorani had a brake caliper fire under caution at lap 125 and led the rest of the distance to take the victory in his second career series start.
- Hingorani dominated the race, leading 124 of the race’s first 125 laps after winning the General Tire Pole Award in qualifying. Under caution for Mariah Boudrieau’s spin off of turn four, flames started to boil from the right front brake caliper, eventually forcing ARCA officials to bring the No. 15 Toyota to a stop to extinguish the flames. Hingorani would try to continue, but brake issues would force him to the pits, dropping him to 16th at the finish.
- Trevor Huddleston gained significant ground in the race for the ARCA Menards Series West championship, closing the points gap between himself and leader Sean Hingorani to just 24 points with two races remaining.
- Tanner Reif finished third for the second consecutive race, his fifth top-five finish of 2023.
- Tyler Reif finished fourth and closed to within 25 points of the series points lead with two racesremaining.
- Eric Nascimento finished fifth, his fourth top-five finish in his last five starts.
- Kyle Keller finished sixth and Robbie Kennealy finished eighth, giving both of the two Keller-Kennealy Motorsports drivers top-10 finishes.
- Todd Souza finished seventh to give his Central Coast Racing team two top-ten finishes in the same race for the second time. He and teammate Tyler Reif also both finished in the top ten at Evergreen Speedway.
- Kaden Honeycutt started at the tail of the field after engine issues in practice didn’t allow him to make a qualifying attempt. He knifed his way through the field quickly and reached the top five within the first 50 laps, but he faded to ninth at the finish.
- R.J. Smotherman finished tenth to earn his second consecutive top-ten finish in the John Wood-owned No. 38 Toyota.
- Bradley Erickson’s night ended early, with mechanical issues forcing him out of the race with just 41 laps in the books. Erickson finished last in the 21-car field, dropping him from fourth to fifth in the ARCA Menards Series West championship standings.
- The ARCA Menards Series West is back in action on Saturday night at Madera Speedway in the 51FIFTY Jr. Homecoming ARCA 150 Presented by the West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame. The race will be streamed live on FloRacing starting at 11 pm ET/8 pm PT.
