ARCA Menards Series / ARCA Menards Series East at The Milwaukee Mile: Sprecher 150 Pre-race Notes

  • The Sprecher 150 will be the 15th race of 20 for the ARCA Menards Series in 2023, and the seventh race of eight for the ARCA Menards Series East. The race will pay full championship points to both series.  
  • Jesse Love enters the Sprecher 150 with a 114-point lead in the ARCA Menards Series championship standings over second-place Andres Perez. Hollywood actor-turned-racecar driver Frankie Muniz is third, just eight points out of second.  
  • William Sawalich holds an eight-point lead over Luke Fenhaus in the battle for the ARCA Menards Series East championship.  
  • Jesse Love has won eight of the 14 ARCA Menards Series races that have been held so far in 2023; he has wins at Talladega Superspeedway, Kansas Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Elko Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Watkins Glen International.  
  • Love’s eight wins in 14 starts puts him on pace with 2021 ARCA Menards Series champion Ty Gibbs, who also won eight of the first 14 races in his championship season.  
  • Jack Bowsher holds the all-time record for most wins in an ARCA Menards Series season, 20, set in 1965. Tim Steele holds the modern era record (post-1979) for wins in a single season with 12, set in 1997.  
  • Sawalich and Fenhaus each have scored a win in the ARCA Menards Series, Sawalich at Berlin Raceway and Fenhaus at Iowa Speedway, and each have two wins in the ARCA Menards Series East, with Sawalich winning at Five Flags Speedway and Flat Rock Speedway and Fenhaus winning at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and Iowa.  
  • The Sprecher 150 will be the 12th ARCA Menards Series race held at The Milwaukee Mile, with the first in 1958 won by NASCAR Hall of Fame member Fred Lorenzen. Other winners at The Milwaukee Mile include Tony Bettenhausen (1959, 1960), Rodger Ward (1959), Lorenzen (1959), Dean Roper (1982), Dave Weltmeyer (1983), Frank Kimmel (2005, 2007), Phil Bozell (2006), Ty Gibbs (2021), and Sammy Smith (2022).  
  • The Sprecher 150 will be the third race for the ARCA Menards Series East at The Milwaukee Mile, with previous races in 2021 and 2022 held in combination with the ARCA Menards Series. Winners were Ty Gibbs (2021) and Sammy Smith (2022).  
  • Ty Gibbs holds the ARCA Menards Series platform qualifying record at The Milwaukee Mile, set in 2021, at 29.354 seconds/122.641 miles per hour.  
  • Gibbs also holds the ARCA Menards Series platform race record for a 150-mile event at The Milwaukee Mile, also set in 2021, at 100.615 miles per hour/1 hour, 27 minutes, 27 seconds.  
  • The record for the most lead changes in a 150-mile ARCA Menards Series race at The Milwaukee Mile is eight, set in 2005 when Frank Kimmel won. The fewest is 0, set in 2021 when Ty Gibbs led every lap en route to the victory.  
  • The record for the most cautions in a 150-lap race at The Milwaukee Mile is 7 for 54 laps, set in 2005. The fewest cautions in a 150-lap race at The Milwaukee Mile is 3 for 14 laps set in 2021.  
  • Should the race need to be extended into overtime, there will be unlimited attempts at a two-lap “green-white-checkered” finish. Should the caution flag be displayed after the white flag is displayed, there will be unlimited attempts at a one-lap “green and white together” finish.
