NHRA officials announced today that Gerber Collision & Glass has been named the title sponsor of the upcoming Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK Performance as part of a multi-year partnership.
The race takes place May 19-21 at Route 66 Raceway in Chicago, with the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK Performance also marking the first race at the fan-favorite facility since 2019.
It is the sixth of 21 events during the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season, with all the top stars in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle set to make their highly-anticipated return to Route 66 Raceway.
“Becoming the title sponsor of NHRA’s return to Chicagoland is a proud moment for our organization. We look forward to being a part of the exciting event at Route 66 Raceway,” said Brian Kaner, Gerber Collision & Glass EVP & COO. “Partnering with the NHRA is a big win for Gerber as we continue to introduce race fans to the collision industry and the opportunities that we offer.”
Founded in Chicago in 1937, Gerber Collision & Glass has provided high-quality auto collision and auto glass repair work for more than 86 years. What started as a single auto glass and trim shop has grown to more than 735 locations and one of the largest non-franchised auto collision and glass repair companies in North America.
The company has partnered with NHRA to host a thrilling return to Chicago and Route 66 Raceway after a three-year hiatus. The state-of-the-art facility has hosted several historic NHRA moments over the years and this season’s Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK Performance promises to be filled with action and non-stop excitement.
“It’s a huge thrill to have such a great partner like Gerber Collision & Glass as our title sponsor for our return to Route 66 Raceway,” said Brad Gerber, NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “It’s a big moment for our race teams, fans and partners to return to the Chicago area for the first time since 2019 and we’re all looking forward to a fantastic race weekend.”
