  • HEMRIC AT KANSAS: Daniel Hemric has earned two top-five finishes and three top-10s in four career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Kansas Speedway. Both of Hemric’s top-fives have been runner-up finishes, including a second-place run in the series’ most recent visit to the track last October. He also made two NASCAR Cup Series starts at Kansas, including the October 2019 race where he claimed his first pole in NASCAR’s top series. Hemric also finished 10th and third in a pair of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Kansas in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
  • TEXAS RECAP: Hemric started the Round of 8 with a strong second-place finish last Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway. After opting to pit late in the opening stage, Hemric inherited the lead to begin stage two and ran in the top two along with JGR driver John Hunter Nemechek for most of the race.
  • PLAYOFF PERFORMANCE: Hemric is the only driver to finish inside the top five in all four playoff races so far. His 179 points earned since the playoffs started four races ago are 15 more than the next closest competitor.
  • POPPY BANK: Poppy Bank will be featured as the primary sponsor of the No. 18 Supra in Saturday’s race at Kansas Speedway. Poppy Bank is a 5-star rated organization and is recognized as one of the strongest financial institutions in the country. Since opening its first branch in 2005, Poppy Bank has grown to over $3 Billion in assets with branches across the San Francisco Bay Area, Roseville, and Southern California.

Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Brandon Jones, and Erik Jones have all driven JGR Toyotas to victory lane at Kansas Speedway.
  • TUNE IN: Coverage of this weekend’s Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Daniel Hemric, Driver of the No. 18 Poppy Bank Toyota Supra

After a strong run at Texas, how do you feel going into Kansas this weekend?

“I feel good about our chances at Kansas. It has been a good place for me in the past. I have a few pedal cars from winning poles there in the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series, but I’d really like to add the race win trophy to that collection and get ourselves locked into Phoenix. I know our team is capable of doing it. Dave Rogers (crew chief) and my guys have been bringing incredible Toyota Supras to the race track all year and that has really ramped up the last few weeks in the playoffs. Like always, if we can eliminate mistakes and put ourselves in contention, we’ll be there and have a shot at the end of the day.”
