The 16 previous starts at the .526-mile paper clip-shaped track have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 19.4 and an average finish of 20.9.
Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 222 starts from 25 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include one victory (Talladega Superspeedway), five top-five finishes and 23 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.7 and an average finishing position of 19.0.

Productions Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 23rd-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series TrüNorth Global 250 at the Martinsville Speedway on March 23. Dippel started in the 20th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 70, Dippel was in the 22nd-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 140, he advanced back into the 20th-place, one lap down to the leader. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the 18th-place. Dippel battled throughout the race to finish in the 23rd-place.
In the Rearview Mirror: Talladega (Al.) Superspeedway … Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Lobas! Productions Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 31st-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega (Al.) Superspeedway on Saturday, October 12. Dippel started the 98-lap event from the 21st-place. At the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 20, Dippel quickly advanced to the 14th-place. With 29 laps completed, the Wallkill, N.Y.- native was involved an incident on the backstretch and was unable to continue. Dippel was scored as high as the seventh-place.
Season-to-date … Through the first 19 of 20 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 2519 of 2847 laps contested (88.5 percent), and has led two laps. This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Martinsville Speedway … Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 at the Martinsville Speedway. The Mid-Atlantic Wrecker Service team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Pocono (Pa.) Raceway on July 27, where it finished in the 14th-place after starting in the 17th-place in the chassis’ sixth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Previous entries for chassis No. 101 had Tanner Thorson at the reins at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and the Martinsville Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover (Del.) International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.

Race Rewind: Martinsville Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 32nd-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series TrüNorth Global 250 at the Martinsville Speedway on March 23. The 24-year old started in the 17th-place in his debut at the Ridgeway, Va.,-facility. With only 61 laps completed in the 250-lap event, Dean’s day ended early after an oil line break forced him to the garage.
In the Rearview Mirror: Talladega Superspeedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 20th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, October 12. The 25-year old started in the 20th-place in the 32-truck. After quickly moving through the field, Dean finished Stage 1 in the 15th-place on Lap 20, and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40, he was in the seventh-place. With two laps remaining the Bluffton, S.C.,-native was battling for the lead when Dean was involved in an incident which sent him inside wall off Turn 2. In his first start at the Talladega Superspeedway in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, the Dean was scored as high as the first-place in the 98-lap event when he took the lead on Lap 66.
Season-to-date … Through the first 20 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 2309 of 2911 laps contested (79.3 percent) with five laps led. Dean is currently 15th in the driver point standings and 18th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 829 laps running in the top 15 and has made 765 green-flag passes thus far this season.

Race Rewind: Martinsville Speedway … Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 EZ Red Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 27th-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series TrüNorth Global 250 at the Martinsville Speedway on March 23. Boyd started in the 25th-position after narrowly missing the second round of qualifying by just 1/1000th of a second. Boyd immediately had forward momentum, but the progress was stunted on Lap 40 when he reported to crew chief Andrew Abbott that the engine was down on power. The Young’s Motorsports team came to pit road under caution to remedy the engine woes. Even with limited engine power Boyd never gave up, wheeling his ailing No. 20 EZ Red Chevrolet Silverado to take the checkered-flag in the 27th-place.
In the Rearview Mirror: Talladega Superspeedway … Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 Alabama Roofing Professionals Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, was victorious in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, October 12. Boyd started in the 25th-position for the extended 260.68-mile event. He finished Stage 1 on Lap 20 in the 18th-position, and was in the 23rd-poition to end Stage 2 on Lap 40. Boyd, whose previous best finish in the series was a fourth in the 2019 season opener at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, crossed the finish line .132 seconds behind Johnny Sauter, who started his celebration. But NASCAR informed the teams that the finish was under review and subsequently awarded the victory to Boyd. It was Boyd’s first victory in 23 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series events. In addition, it was the 24-year old’s second top-10 finish of 2019, and Boyd’s first top-10 finish in two starts at the Talladega Superspeedway.
