The Performance Racing Network (PRN) today announced veteran broadcaster Brad Gillie will step off of pit road and into the broadcast booth to assume the role of lead anchor alongside Mark Garrow beginning with the 2025 NASCAR season.

The retirement of longtime lead anchor Doug Rice after a distinguished 36-year career left a void few could fill. Gillie has the talent and experience to make the move seamless.

“The obvious choice to succeed me is Brad Gillie,” said Rice. “He has been an integral part of our broadcast team for decades. He is an excellent broadcaster that our fans trust and are very familiar with, which I know will make this a smooth transition.”

Gillie has spent more than two decades working in motorsports. His career started in 1998 at Texas Motor Speedway. Throughout his 16-year tenure at the track, Gillie was the Manager of Short Track Operations, General Manager of the Lone Star Legends racing series and host of the Speedway’s Total Access syndicated radio program.

In 2006, Gillie began broadcasting live NASCAR events with PRN, where he could be heard in any broadcast position. However, he spent most of his time on pit road as one of the network’s O’Reilly Auto Parts pit reporters.

“I am truly grateful to PRN and Speedway Motorsports for the opportunity to continue building on a long legacy of exceptional broadcasts,” said Gillie. “It is an honor to move up to the anchor chair and, along with our great team, deliver the excitement of NASCAR to our listeners and affiliate stations.

“I also want to thank Doug Rice for his friendship and mentorship. His values and commitment to excellence have made PRN an elite network recognized throughout the motorsports and radio industries.”

During his tenure with PRN, Gillie stepped into the broadcast booth as anchor several times. Starting in 2025, he will bring his experience and love of NASCAR to the booth full-time.

Fans can also hear Gillie weekly as co-host on PRN’s Fast Talk and host of The Late Shift on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Channel 90. In addition to his on-air role with PRN, Gillie serves as Director of Programming and Affiliations, curating the network’s sound and affiliate radio station partnerships.

The 2025 PRN broadcast season kicks off with Ambetter Health 400 weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, February 22-23. See PRN’s full broadcast schedule and find a station near you at GoPRN.com.
