Daniel Dye finished his night at Martinsville Speedway in 32nd-place after running into motor issues halfway through the final stage. The driver of the No. 43 Champion Container Chevrolet Silverado RST has one more race remaining in his sophomore season and sits ninth in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) point standings.
Dye began his night at Martinsville in the 18th position after posting a time of 19.95 seconds in qualifying. Dye battled feverishly mid pack until lap 36 when the first caution of the event appeared. Crew chief Blake Bainbridge made the decision to bring the No. 43 to pit road for a track bar adjustment, along with four tires and fuel. Dye returned to action in the 15th position and went on to finish Stage 1 on lap 50 in 16th-place.
Dye stayed out during the stage caution to restart Stage 2 in the 13th position on lap 61. In a nearly caution-free second segment, he continued to hold the 14th spot. The caution flag waved once again on lap 98 bringing Stage 2 to a conclusion with Dye still maintaining that position.
Under the stage yellow, Dye came to pit road for his last scheduled stop of the night. With four tires, fuel, track bar and air pressure adjustment he came out of pit road in 12th-place. Dye was informed to move to the rear of the field before the final segment went green on lap 110 due to a pit road penalty. Dye was able to move into the 21th position when a caution appeared on lap 163, and came to pit road during the caution to address a motor issue. After bringing the truck behind the wall to assess the problem, Bainbridge made the decision to retire for the night. Dye was credited with a 32nd-place finish.

Our Champion Container Chevy was pretty fast in the middle portion of the race, and it would’ve been fun to battle and see where we ended up. All in all, I can’t thank everyone enough for all their hard work and support and we’ll go get them at Phoenix to close out 2024.”
