Home Track Advantage … Jack Wood is set for his homecoming race at the friendly confines of All-American Speedway (AAS) in the backyard of BMR. The driver of the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet SS is set for his second appearance at the third-mile bullring that’s located 2.4 miles from the BMR Auto Care and race shop. Wood’s hometown of Loomis, Calif. is also located less than 10 miles from AAS and Saturday night’s NAPA Auto Parts 150 would be the perfect tonic for Wood to recharge his season.

Season to Date … While Wood paced the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) field in practice last weekend at Madera Speedway, a 12th-place finish wasn’t indicative of the team’s recent speed. Prior to last weekend, Wood and the NAPA Auto Care team had three straight top-six finishes, including two podium results. They look to add to the total of three top-five and five top-10 finishes this year in the tour’s 10th event on Saturday evening. Wood currently sits fourth in the championship standings, 12 markers out of third.

BMR History at Roseville … Team owner Bill McAnally calls Roseville, Calif. home, but his teams have also owned AAS over the years. Since 2008, the BMR entries have piled up 10 wins at AAS, making Roseville the second-most successful track in the organization’s storied history. Current spotter Eric Holmes captured BMR’s first trophy at AAS in the 2008 season opener and kicked off a streak of six-consecutive wins for the team in Roseville, stretching from 2008 – 2011. Cole Moore has the most recent BMR win at AAS in 2022 and Wood looks to return the No. 16 Chevrolet to Roseville’s winner’s circle this weekend.

Jack Wood Quote:

On making his second start at Roseville:

“Roseville is obviously a special place for BMR, Bill (McAnally), and the whole team. We have all the motivation in the world to run well and get a win this weekend, especially with so many NAPA folks coming out to support us. We’ve had good racecars lately and we want the ultimate result to go with it. Hopefully we can have a clean night, qualify up front and be smooth for 150 laps with our NAPA Chevy and make it a special night.”
