Speedway Children’s Charities Atlanta is once again offering great experiences for race fans during the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart weekend to raise money for local kids in need.
The generosity of guests attending Atlanta Motor Speedway’s NASCAR race weekends fuels SCC Atlanta’s mission to provide funds to children’s causes in our area. From opportunities to get on the track to chances to take home one-of-a-kind pieces of racing memorabilia, the charity has a lot to offer this weekend – and it all benefits a good cause.
SCC Hot Laps see participants riding shotgun in official AMS Chevrolet Camaro pace cars around the 1.54-mile oval on Sunday morning before the big race. This thrilling experience is sold out for this Sunday, but don’t worry: that’s not the only opportunity to get on the track with SCC.
Thursday night’s Laps for Charity allows participants to drive their own vehicles on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s famous high banks behind the AMS pace car. Regular and VIP sessions are still available for this fan-favorite event.
SCC Atlanta’s 50/50 raffle returns this race weekend with a chance for fans to go home with a big prize. SCC volunteers will be selling raffle tickets all weekend long and on Sunday a winning ticket will be drawn. Half of the jackpot goes to kids in need, the other half goes to the lucky winner!
Fans who want to take home a piece of racing history will get their chance in the AMS Fan Zone on Sunday at 1 p.m. during the SCC Live Auction. Enthusiasts who don’t make it to the fan zone are in luck, too; SCC has an online auction with one-of-a-kind items and racing experiences active throughout the weekend. The online auction offers once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like a VIP experience with the race winner in victory lane Sunday evening, a meet and greet with Zach Top, and a pace car ride with NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar.
