- William Sawalich (No. 18 Starkey/SoundGear Toyota) scored his fifth ARCA Menards Series victory of the season and his second consecutive win in Satuerday’s Shore Lunch 250 Presented by Dutch Boy at Elko Speedway. Sawalich earned the General Tire Pole Award in qualifying, the eleventh of his career, and then led 150 of the race’s 200 laps en route to his ninth career series win.
- Sawalich was forced to come from the tail of the field after a spin after contact with a lapped car at lap 150. Sawalich worked his way through the pack over the course of the final 100 laps and retook the lead from Lavar Scott (No. 6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet) with three laps remaining. Scott made a last-lap charge into turns three and four, and the two made contact, sliding sideways across the finish line. Sawalich nipped Scott at the stripe by just 0.011 seconds.
- Scott finished second to match his best career series finish, which he set earlier in the season at Berlin Raceway. Scott was able to close the gap in the battle for the ARCA Menards Series championship by four points, the first time the points lead has shrunk since round four of the season at Dover Motor Speedway.
- The 0.011-second margin of victory was the closest ARCA Menards Series finish since Zane Smith defeated Joe Graf, Jr. in a statistical dead heat at Talladega Superspeedway in 2018. Smith was determined the victor by video replay; his margin of victory estimated to be approximately three inches. Later that season, Graf, Jr. would even the score, winning at Berlin Raceway with a 0.047-second margin of victory.
- Kris Wright (No. 15 FNB Corporation Toyota) finished third in what was nearly a three-way photo finish for the win. It was his fourth top-five finish of 2024 and his best career finish in a short track. Wright’s best career finish, second, came earlier in the season at Talladega Superspeedway.
- Isabella Robusto (No. 55 Mobil 1 Toyota) set her best career ARCA Menards Series finish in fourth in just her second career ARCA Menards Series start. Robusto’s car was damaged in a stack up in turn two just before the first break of the race at lap 125, but her team made repairs to the nose and hood and kept her in contention. Robusto finished sixth in her series debut at Phoenix Raceway in March.
- Andres Perez (No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet) finished fifth, his sixth top-five finish of the season. Perez was forced to start at the tail of the field after making a gear change after qualifying while his car was impounded. Perez maintains the series championship points lead by 44 points headed into the next race at Michigan International Speedway.
- E.J. Tamayo (No. 45 AMICI Engineering Contractors Ford) finished sixth in his ARCA Menards Series debut.
- Toni Breidinger (No. 25 Sunoco Toyota) finished seventh, her first top-ten finish since she was sixth at Berlin Raceway in June. Breidinger has been eliminated in accidents not of her doing while running well into the top ten in each of the last two ARCA Menards Series races.
- Reigning ARCA Menards Series West champion Sean Hingorani (No. 20 Fidelity Capital Toyota) finished eighth, his eighth career top-ten finish in 12 series starts. It marks the first time he has finished among the top ten that was not also a top-five finish. He was the final driver to finish on the lead lap.
- Greg Van Alst (No. 35 CB Fabricating/Top Choice Fence Ford) raced as high as third in the early going before settling into ninth at the finish. It was Van Alst’s 25th career top-ten finish in his 50th career series start.
- Christian Rose (No. 32 West Virginia Department of Tourism Ford) rounded out the top ten finishers.
- There were four lead changes between Sawalich and Scott; Sawalich led 150 laps while Scott paced a career-high 100 laps.
- There were six cautions for 43 laps; the average speed was 65.483 miles per hour.
- The next race for the ARCA Menards Series is the Henry Ford Health 200 at Michigan International Speedway on Friday, August 16. The race will be televised live on FS1 starting at 6 pm ET; it will also be broadcast on select affiliated of the MRN Radio Network nationwide.
