The 2024 WeatherTech SCCA Chicago Region June Sprints at Road America just got a whole lot more exciting with the announcement of Lyn St. James as the Grand Marshal for the event, set to take place from June 21 to June 23. 

Renowned for her groundbreaking career in motorsports, Lyn St. James brings a wealth of experience and inspiration to the event. With accolades, including class victories in prestigious races like the Twelve Hours of Sebring and the Rolex 24 At Daytona, St. James has left an indelible mark on the racing world. Her achievements extend to international competitions like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, plus seven appearances at the iconic Indianapolis 500, where she made history as the first woman to earn Rookie of the Year honors in 1992.

Beyond her extraordinary success on the track, St. James has dedicated herself to fostering diversity and inclusion within motorsports. As a lifelong advocate for women’s participation in the sport, she co-founded Women in Motorsports North America, a community dedicated to supporting and mentoring individuals pursuing careers in all facets of the industry.
