American history is rolling into Charlotte Motor Speedway as the iconic 1969 Lincoln Continental convertible that President Richard Nixon rode in while in office will be on display in the Showcase Pavilion at this Autofair presented by Camping World. This vehicle is the only documented 1969 Lincoln Continental convertible of its kind, holding a respected place in both automotive and political history.
Once the go-to vehicle for the 37th President of the United States, the Richard Nixon Presidential Limousine has a one-of-a-kind past. Originally commissioned for presidential use, this beautifully preserved Lincoln Continental convertible played a significant role in celebrating not only the former president, but multiple American heroes. During parades honoring the Apollo 8, 11 and 13 astronauts, this vehicle carried the men who dared to go beyond Earth’s boundaries. The only documented 1969 Lincoln Continental convertible limousine, this rare vehicle was also utilized in the retirement parade of baseball legend Hank Aaron, marking the end of an out-of-the-park career and celebrating his legacy in the hearts of fans everywhere.
The Presidential Limousine will be displayed in the Showcase Pavilion during the AutoFair presented by Camping World April 4-7 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Other show highlights include the Best of the Best custom show vehicles, a Mustang Anniversary display and a collection of Wild and Wacky. Join us at this year’s Charlotte Autofair presented by Camping World as the car community pays tribute to these iconic hot rods and automobiles.
