Bret Holmes Racing

Bret Holmes will drive the No. 32 Chevrolet Silverado for Bret Holmes Racing (BHR) and contend for the 2024 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Driver Championship. The team will continue its partnership with Chevrolet and signed a technical alliance with Spire Motorsports for the upcoming season.

Holmes has made 36 starts in the NASCAR CRAFTMAN Truck Series in the last three seasons. The Munford, Ala., native is credited with 10 top-15 finishes in the series. Holmes looks to build on the previous seasons to achieve this year’s goals.

“I feel like this year we have the potential to compete at the level we want to be at and win races,” said Holmes. “At the end of last year and through this off-season, we’ve looked at every aspect of our team and asked ourselves ‘how can we improve’? With that, we’ve brought on Mike Shiplett as crew chief, made a lot of changes in our processes at the shop in our preparation for races, and updated a lot of our equipment. I’m very excited for this year. I know that we will reach a higher level of competition and continuously improve as the year progresses. I know we have a lot of potential, and I’m confident we can get there this season.”

Over the off-season, the Mooresville, N.C.- based team named Mike Shiplett as crew chief for the No. 32 Chevrolet team. Shiplett brings a wealth of knowledge to the Truck Series team. In his years in NASCAR, Shiplett has called races in all three of NASCAR’s top-three series and is credited with more than 20 NASCAR XFINITY Series wins.

“I’m looking forward to my first full-time season as a crew chief in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with BHR,” said Shiplett. “The Holmes family has a strong commitment and desire for success in this series. This, along with the changes we’ve made over the off-season, makes me excited for the opportunity to work with Bret and this team to bring the organization their first Truck Series win in the 2024 season.”

“We’ve had a productive off-season here at BHR,” said AJ Heister, BHR’s General Manager. “We have made some key changes to our program, including a technical alliance with Spire Motorsports. This will help bolster our engineering department and improve our team’s preparations for each race. We’re proud to continue our partnership with Chevrolet this season. They’ve supported us and been part of our race team for a long time. With everyone’s support, we’ve set some big goals for our team this year.”

The No. 32 Chevrolet Silverado will welcome some new partners to the truck this season. Precision Garage Door Service, a Neighborly company, will adorn the hood for six races this year, beginning with the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway next month. Thompson Tractor is also joining the team this season as an associate sponsor, and Golden Eagle Syrup is returning for the year as an associate sponsor to the team. The well-known syrup company is slated as a primary sponsor for one race, which will be named at a later date. Additionally, BHR has signed a partnership with ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems for the upcoming season.

The 2024 season kicks off with the Fresh From Florida 250 on February 16th at Daytona International Speedway. Live coverage will be televised on FOX Sports 1, beginning at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
