The ARCA Menards Series will return to Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, April 20, 2024 for the General Tire 200, the opening act of a same-day doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series. It will mark the 62nd time the series has raced at the 2.66-mile tri-oval since the first race in 1969 and the 50th consecutive year the track has hosted at least one ARCA Menards Series race since 1975.

The 2023 General Tire 200 kickstarted Jesse Love’s run to the ARCA Menards Series championship. After a tenth-place finish in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway and an accident sidelined him early in the second round of the season at Phoenix Raceway, Love dominated at Talladega to earn the first of ten victories on the season.

Other notable ARCA Menards Series winners at Talladega Superspeedway include inaugural winner Jim Vandiver, NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees Mark Martin, Davey Allison, and Red Farmer, four-time winner Grant Adcox, former series champions Tracy Leslie, Tim Steele, Frank Kimmel and Ty Dillon, and current NASCAR national series stars Justin Allgaier, Justin Haley, Zane Smith, Todd Gilliland, Corey Heim, and Nick Sanchez.

The General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway is the second race date of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season to be announced, joining the June 14 date at Iowa Speedway. The remainder of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
