Joe Graf Jr. Quoteboard:

On The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course: “I have been working really hard to improve my road racing craft and I hope I’m able to showcase that with a solid result in Saturday afternoon’s race.

“I haven’t raced at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course since 2020, but I remember the race being a lot about track position and car control. My goal during practice is to rekindle myself with the layout and get a good zone and then try to leave nothing on the table for qualifying.

“From there, it’s about bringing home a top-20 finish or better for our No. 38 G-Coin® team. I was a bit disappointed about Michigan last week considering how fast our car was, so a top-20 finish would be a great rebound for our RSS Racing team and definitely give us some much-welcome momentum for Watkins Glen next weekend.”

On The 2023 Season: “As we press on during the second half of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, it is important for me to utilize what I have learned with the RSS Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing teams and apply that behind the wheel.

“We started the year off really strong but then fell a little bit. We’re slowly but steadily trying to put ourselves in a good position for the end of the summer and into the fall.

“I just need to continue to stay focused, communicate with my team and utilize the knowledge that I’ve gained over the past three years to recover and have my best Xfinity Series season yet.”
