- Trevor Huddleston broke a three-year winless streak with his third career ARCA Menards Series West victory in Saturday night’s NAPA Auto Parts BlueDEF 150 at Irwindale Speedway. Huddleston is the all-time winningest driver in late model competition at Irwindale, and his father Tim is the track operator. Huddleston took the lead when race leader Sean Hingorani made contact with the turn three wall with 63 laps remaining and led the rest of the way.
- Huddleston’s first win also came at Irwindale in 2019.
- Eric Nascimento scored a career-best second-place finish. It was his first top-five finish since he finished fifth at Colorado National Speedway in 2021.
- Former Irwindale winner Tanner Reif finished third, his best finish of 2023. He finished fifth in the April race at Irwindale.
- Todd Souza notched his first top-five finish of 2023 in fourth. It was his 20th career top-five finish.
- Robbie Kennealy finished fifth in his ARCA Menards Series West debut.
- Tyler Reif scored his fourth top-ten finish of the season in sixth.
- Jake Bollman scored his second top-ten finish in three West starts in seventh; he also finished seventh at Kern County Raceway Park in April.
- Nick Joanides finished eighth, his second top-ten result in 2023; he also finished tenth at Kern County.
- Landen Lewis led twice for 60 laps but was hit with a pass-thru penalty for jumping the race’s only restart, dropping him to the tail of the lead lap. He finished ninth but maintains his lead in the ARCA Menards Series West standings after his main competitor Sean Hingorani crashed out and finished 12th.
- The caution for Hingorani’s accident was the only one of the night, slowing the race for just seven laps.
- The next race for the ARCA Menards Series West is the Shasta ARCA 150 at Shasta Speedway on Saturday, July 29. The race will be streamed live on FloRacing at 11:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT.
