Kaleb Johnson is eagerly awaiting the start of the 2023 campaign, which features a handful of new partners.
“We’re excited to add Folkens Brothers Trucking, Joel Pingeon Trucking, Blondie Motorsports, Construction Products & Consultants, Turn 2 Lodge, Heartland Properties, Hohn & Palmer LLC and The Minnesota Mafia to our team,” he said. “We’d like to welcome our new partners as well as express our gratitude toward our returning partners, who have given us great support throughout the years.”
Johnson is aiming for a schedule of approximately 60 winged sprint car races this year.
“Our schedule is being finalized and will be released soon,” he said. “I think we have around 40 410ci races. The only points racing we will be doing is in the 410 class at Huset’s Speedway.”
Johnson garnered the Rookie of the Year Award at the high-banked oval last year when he placed fifth in the championship standings thanks to six top fives and nine top 10s.
The team’s season opener is slated for April 7-8 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, during the Morning Sun Farm Implement IRA 410 Clash with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series.
“We’re working hard to put our best foot forward this season and to take another step forward,” Johnson said. “Last year was a good year for us and we got a lot of 410 experience. A goal this year is to continue to improve and learn so we can develop into a contender night in and night out regardless of where we race.”
