Clicking off the opening 24 events of the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout, the 38th edition of the “Mecca of Micros” greeted 239 drivers to Tulsa Expo Raceway clay to begin their trek towards a Golden Driller.
California drivers earned the most wins with five, over Oklahoma with four. Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania drivers all earned a pair of wins, but the stat that counts is passing points earned with California’s Jett Barnes, who advanced from ninth to win Heat Race 17, earning the most points so far.
The average starting spot for Heat Race winners thus far is 2.25, with half of those races winning from the pole.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, 117 races are on the docket, with 40 Heat Races for Outlaw Non-Wing kicking off the run of events.
