The second running of the NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway showcasing the best of the Cup Series drivers will highlight a NASCAR tripleheader weekend set for May 20-22.
This will be the 38th edition overall of the NASCAR All-Star Race and Texas Motor Speedway is just one of three tracks outside of Charlotte Motor Speedway to host this prestigious event. The others were Atlanta Motor Speedway in 1986 and Bristol Motor Speedway in 2020.
The three-day race weekend opens Friday, May 20, with Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series practice and qualifying. Opening day will be highlighted by the running of the SpeedyCash.com 220 NCWTS race at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Xfinity Series starts the action Saturday, May 21, with the SRS Distribution 250 race beginning at 12:30 p.m. The NASCAR Cup Series will then hit the track for the first time with The Open and All-Star practice sessions, followed by qualifying for the Open (6:40 p.m.) and All-Star Race (7:20 p.m.).
On Sunday, May 22, non-qualifiers for the NASCAR All-Star Race will attempt to race their way into the event through The Open race that begins at 5 p.m. The NASCAR All-Star Race will follow beginning at 7 p.m.
The weekend also will feature plenty of additional entertainment including a free, one-hour pre-race concert by country music superstar Blake Shelton (3 p.m. Sunday), various performances and daredevil acts in the Fan Zone, and racing in the Legends and Bandolero divisions.

Country music superstar Blake Shelton will perform a live 60-minute concert May 22 beginning at 3 p.m. as part of the NASCAR All-Star pre-race festivities. The full day of NASCAR competition and entertainment activities will conclude with a 60-minute post-race concert performed by legendary Mexican ranchero music group Banda MS.
Coverage of the NASCAR All-Star Race – sponsored by NASCAR’s Premier Partners Busch Light Beer, Coca-Cola, GEICO and Xfinity – will begin May 22 at 5 p.m. ET on FS1. The NASCAR Open will begin at 6 p.m. on FS1, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, MRN, and 95.9 The Ranch and the NASCAR All-Star Race at 8 p.m. on FS1, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, MRN, and 95.9 The Ranch.
The SpeedyCash.com 220 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race will be held Friday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. (FS1, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, MRN, and 95.9 The Ranch) and the SRS Distribution 250 Xfinity Series race on Saturday, May 21, at 12:30 p.m. (FS1, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, PRN, and 95.9 The Ranch).
