Burton has three starts on his resume in Kansas with one top five and one top-10 finish to his credit. In his last visit to Kansas last season, Burton started 18th and finished 11th in his Toyota Supra.

·  Texas Recap: The NASCAR Xfinity Series kicked off the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. ·  Honoring a Hero: Burton will carry a special name on his Morton Buildings Supra this weekend as the team honors a cancer survivor through the Martin Truex Jr foundation. Kerry Stewart, a stage 4 colon cancer survivor, will be honored with her name above the driver’s side door on the #20 this weekend. Burton is one of Stewart’s favorite drivers in NASCAR.

·  Special Paint Scheme: Burton will be sporting a brand-new Morton Buildings paint scheme this weekend in Kansas as his Toyota Supra pays tribute to his dad’s iconic Caterpillar paint scheme. ·  Playoff Battle: Following the race in Texas last weekend, Burton and his Joe Gibbs Racing team currently sit seventh in the playoff standings, 21 points below the cut line heading into the weekend.

From the Cockpit:

Harrison Burton:

“I’m looking forward to Kansas this weekend and trying to rebound from Texas last week. I’ve always enjoyed racing at Kansas and think we have a good shot at coming home with good finish on Saturday. Morton Buildings is back on our Supra this week and we are running a scheme that is similar to my dad’s 2012 iconic Caterpillar paint scheme which is pretty cool. We also have a cancer hero’s name on our car this weekend through the Martin Truex Jr foundation, so it’s the perfect weekend to get our first checkered flag of the season!”
