NASCAR Hall of Fame kicks off October with special events, announcements and activities for visitors

October is an exciting time for racing in the Queen City. On Wednesday, Oct. 6, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is hosting its third annual Over the Edge, the signature fundraising event for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation, 2021 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Weekend event tickets go on sale on Thursday, Oct. 7, Charlotte welcomes Circle K Speed Street to Uptown from Oct. 7-9, the Bank of America Roval™ 400 comes to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 10 and more. 

Below is information on all of the high-octane activities and events coming up this month from the NASCAR Hall of Fame: 

OVER THE EDGE 
Wednesday, Oct. 6 
There is still time to sign up to participate and/or donate to the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Over the Edge annual fundraising event that gives donors the opportunity to rappel 10 stories down the Embassy Suites in Uptown for a good cause. Proceeds benefit the NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission includes providing economically challenged students (pre-K through 12th grade) access to learning opportunities that harness NASCAR’s longstanding tradition of winning through innovation. Every $15 donation brings a child into the NASCAR Hall of Fame for a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.

Those who make a donation before Oct. 5 are automatically entered to win one of the following prizes: 

  • Dale Earnhardt Jr. autographed NASCAR Hall of Fame mini helmet
  • Four (4) suite tickets for a Charlotte Hornets basketball game
  • One (1) hour Guided Tour from NASCAR Hall of Fame Executive Director, Winston Kelley + admission for four (4) guests to the NASCAR Hall of Fame
  • NASCAR Hall of Fame prize pack – two (2) tickets to the Hall, $25 gift certificate to the Gear Shop
  • Charlotte Checkers prize pack
  • Queen City prize pack – Charlotte branded t-shirt, S’well bottle and goodies from local artisans

CLASS OF 2021 INDUCTION EVENT TICKETS ON SALE
Thursday, Oct. 7 
The Class of 2021 Induction Ceremony and Induction Dinner will take place on Friday, January 21, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame is offering a variety of events and special programming for fans through Saturday, Jan. 22–from brunch with NASCAR Hall of Famers, to behind-the-scenes looks at pieces of racing history and more. Tickets to the Class of 2021 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Weekend events go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. For a full summary of all Induction Weekend events and to purchase tickets, visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame website.

KIDS GO FREE HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
Friday, Oct. 29-Sunday, Oct. 31
Kids ages 12 and under will receive free admission to the NASCAR Hall of Fame all Halloween weekend with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket online using the promo code SPOOKY. NASCAR Hall of Fame mascot Champ the Cheetah will join the fun and be available for photos on Saturday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 31 from 1 – 3 p.m.

General admission tickets to the NASCAR Hall of Fame can be purchased online at nascarhall.com, by calling 888-902-6463 or on-site. Admission is $25 for adults, $22 for seniors with ID, $18 for military with ID, $18 for youth (4-12) and free for members and children younger than 3. High-octane combo packages are also available.
