- NASHVILLE MEMORIES: While Daniel Hemric has never raced at the Nashville Superspeedway, he is no stranger to racing in Music City. Hemric has made three starts in the All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and won the prestigious Super Late Model event in 2015. In addition to his victory, he earned top-five finishes in his other two starts, including a runner-up effort in 2013.
- TEXAS RECAP: Hemric claimed his sixth top-five finish of the season with a fourth-place run last Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway. After starting fifth, he finished second in both stages and led 13 laps before ultimately ending the day fourth.
- ROGERS’ RESUME: Crew chief Dave Rogers has been atop the pit box for eight NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Nashville Superspeedway. His record at the track includes a victory in 2009, three top-five finishes, five top-10s, three pole awards and 389 laps led.
- POPPY BANK: Poppy Bank will be featured as the primary sponsor of the No. 18 Supra for Saturday’s race at Nashville Superspeedway. When the series previously raced at the concrete tri-oval from 2001-2011, the organization earned 11 top-five finishes, 23 top-10s, six pole awards and 885 laps led in 39 combined starts. Kyle Busch and Joey Logano drove JGR entries to victory lane in Nashville.

Talk about your preparation for this weekend in Nashville…
“We have been doing a lot of prep work with our tools at TRD and JGR and I have spent a lot of time on the simulator. Fortunately, Dave Rogers (crew chief) has been there a lot, so we’ve been able to go through his notes. We have a lot of good information and driver (throttle) trace stuff to look at. That stuff will obviously vary with what we’re racing now versus what they were racing then, but I feel like there are trends that you can look at and learn some crucial things that will help set up the race car and help my mindset and thought process to have success going there for the first time.”
