The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series General Tire Winter Nationals presented by LINE-X from All-Tech Raceway airs on NBC Sports Network today at 4PM ET. The January 23rd event was the second appearance in Lake City, FL for the series, and the first stop in 2021 as a part of the annual speedweeks. A good showing of 57 Lucas Dirt late models were in attendance, with hopes of taking home the $15,000 top prize. Fans saw a tight battle for the lead for the first 14 laps of the caution free event, but it was a newcomer to the late model world that found himself in victory lane – by nearly 16 seconds.
In the winner’s interview, he was in amazement of his performance. “I have been asking a lot of people how to run the bottom. I have been really bad every time in a late model about moving around. I can run the top good but moving around I haven’t been very good. So, I just tried to be a lot smoother. Gosh, my race car was so fast. I could go anywhere I wanted.” He was also quick to give praises to his car owner, which also happens to be a well-known crew chief.
The broadcast from All-Tech Raceway will include driver interviews, in-car cameras, and various technical segments.
