The upcoming Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire will feature a lot of talent from the ARCA Menards Series interspersed throughout its five nights of preliminary action, starting Monday.
Chase Briscoe, the 2016 ARCA Menards Series champion, will be in action on the quarter-mile dirt oval inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the opening night, looking to lock into Saturday night’s 55-lap championship A-main. Oklahoma open wheeler Holley Hollan, who competed in the ARCA Menards Series West for Bill McAnally Racing in 2020, will also be in action Monday night.
Former ARCA Menards Series winner and defending Chili Bowl winner Kyle Larson will be in action Tuesday, as will MRN Radio pit reporter Dillon Welch.
SPEED SPORT: NASCAR Influence Heavy at Chili Bowl
Wednesday night will feature former ARCA Menards Series winners Ryan Newman and Chase Elliott. Newman got his start racing midgets throughout the Midwest in the 1990s. Elliott, the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion, made his first midget start recently at Millbridge Speedway outside of Charlotte and finished third.
Gio Scelzi, who won an ARCA Menards Series West race at All-American Speedway in Roseville, California, in October, and former East Series winner Rico Abreu will also be in action Wednesday night.
Three-time ARCA Menards Series winner and former Chili Bowl winner Christopher Bell headlines Thursday night’s action. Logan Seavey, who won for Venturini Motorsports at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in DuQuoin, Illinois, in 2019, will drive for fellow ARCA dirt winner Kevin Swindell on Thursday night.
Two of the combatants for the 2008 ARCA Menards Series championship will both be in Friday night’s program, as Justin Allgaier and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. both look to lock into Saturday night’s main event. Reigning ARCA Menards Series West champion Jesse Love is also on the entry list.
Each of the Chili Bowl preliminary nights will be streamed live on FloRacing, as will most of Saturday’s “alphabet soup,” leading up to the live broadcast of the C-mains, B-mains, and the championship A-main live on MAVTV.
