Corey LaJoie, driver of the No. 32 Ford Mustang for Go Fas Racing, arrives at Texas Motor Speedway for Sunday’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 laser-focused on replicating the strong performance he had at the Fort Worth track in July.
After starting 36th, LaJoie was able to steer his Roush Yates-powered Ford to a 16th-place finish in the 500-mile event. It was his sixth – and still the most recent – top-20 of the season.
As LaJoie heads to No Limits, Texas, the familiar colors of Schlüter-Systems, a world leader in the development of innovative installation systems for ceramic and natural stone tile, will be on board the GFR Ford. It will be the fifth and final time this year that the organization, which has more than 900 employees across the globe, will appear on LaJoie’s race car as a primary sponsor.
The flaming orange and gray scheme appeared at the second race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the first race of the doubleheader at Michigan International Speedway, the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and most recently at the second Talladega Superspeedway race.
LaJoie has six NASCAR Cup Series starts and two NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the 1.5-mile Texas track. Heading into the weekend, the 28-year-old driver sits 30th in the standings.
The penultimate race of the Round of 8 of the playoffs will get underway on Sunday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
