  • Carson Hocevar made his first career start in the 54th Annual Redbud 400, at the high banked 1/4-mile Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. Hocevar filled in for regular driver John VanDoorn, who welcomed a new daughter to his family last week.
  • Hocevar was fastest in practice and qualified second in the #71 TK Racing, Precision Fleet Image, Berger Chevrolet SS, ahead of the Monday night showdown. After running second through most of the opening portion of the 400-lap event, Hocevar would take over the lead on lap 121. The 71 led the bulk of the rest of the way, only once giving up the point following a mid-race restart.
  • Hocevar would lead the final 175-laps and win by .535-seconds, over Josh Brock. The victory, which paid $15,000 to win, marks Hocevar’s second career super late model triumph, previously winning at Lebanon (MO) I-44 Speedway for the family-owned Carson Hocevar Racing team on May 30, 2020.
  • Hocevar adds his name to a prestigious list of past winners, including Tiny Lund, Mark Martin, Bob Senneker, Alan Kulwicki, Dick Trickle, Gary St. Amant, Kyle Busch, and Bubba Pollard among many others. John VanDoorn was the defending Redbud winner.
