Nascar History: Sunday, April 13, 1958

 On this day in history, NASCAR Hall of Famers Curtis Turner and Joe Weatherly finished 1-2, respectively, in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Lakewood Speedway in Atlanta, Georgia. Weatherly won the pole and Turner started second, but Turner jumped out front leading 75 laps on his way to the win. It was Turner’s second of three wins in 1958.
