SS Green Light Racing Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 200 Race Preview

Ray Black Jr. and his No. 07 Isokern Fireplaces & Chimneys Chevrolet team enter ISM Raceway this weekend after a fantastic run in Texas, where Ray Black Jr. finished in the 12th position. Saturday will mark Black’s sixth career visit to ISM Raceway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In his previous five starts at Phoenix, Black has an average starting position of 23rd and an average finishing position of 26th. Black scored his best career ISM Raceway result earlier this season, when he finished in the 18th position back in March.

Crew Chief Jason Miller will bring chassis 718 to competition this weekend. Chassis 718 was previously raced at Dover International Speedway, where Black finished in the 17th position. As the Series enters the next to last race of the 2019 season, Ray Black Jr. currently sits in the 16th position in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings. Black trails the No. 86 of Brandon Brown by 10 points for the 15th position.

Gray Gaulding and his No. 08 Chevrolet team are set to compete in the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 200 this weekend at ISM Raceway. Saturday will mark Gaulding’s second career visit to ISM Raceway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In his previous attempt in 2017, Gaulding was only able to complete six laps before an electrical issue ended his day prematurely. Despite his lack of Xfinity experience, Gaulding has three starts in the Monster Energy Cup Series at ISM Raceway.

Crew Chief Patrick Donahue will select chassis 709 for competition this weekend. Chassis 709 was previously raced at Richmond Raceway, where Gaulding finished in the 22nd position. As the Series enters the next to last race of the 2019 season, Gray Gaulding currently sits in the 13th position in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings. Gaulding leads the No. 51 of Jeremy Clements by 12 points for the 13th position.

TV/Radio: The Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 200 from ISM Raceway can be seen live on Saturday, November 9th on NBC. Race coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST, and the event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90.
