FRM Post-Race Report: Michigan

Michael McDowellNo. 34 Long John Silver’s Ford MustangStarted: 23 | Finished: 22
“It was a frustrating day for our No. 34 Long John Silver’s Ford. I felt like we had a top-20 or even top-15 car today. We ran well at different points during the race, but couldn’t catch the right breaks we needed to in order to bring it home at the end. We’ll regroup at the shop this week, and come back ready to take on Bristol.”
Matt TifftNo. 36 Meijer/Surface Sunscreen Ford MustangStarted: 19 | Finished: 25
“P25 for our Meijer/Surface Sunscreen Ford. We had a good middle of the race, but unfortunately the beginning and end weren’t too friendly for us. We started out with an unbalanced car and made some progress with the changes we tried as the day went on. I felt like we had good speed at times throughout the race, but we just need to find a way to connect the dots for the finish. We’ll try again next week in Bristol.”
David RaganNo. 38 MDS Trucking Ford MustangStarted: 24 | Finished: 16
“It was a solid day of racing for our No. 38 MDS Ford. We had our ups and downs throughout the race, and ended the last run on the upswing after a good restart, finishing P16 by the end. I’m proud of the effort from our whole team. Next, we’re headed to Bristol, which is one of my favorite tracks, and I’m ready for a repeat performance next week.”
