South Boston Speedway, LS Tractor USA Unveil New Partnership; Will Be Official Tractor Of Track

A North Carolina tractor company has found a second home in South Boston.

Battleboro, North Carolina’s LS Tractor USA recently partnered with South Boston Speedway and NASCAR father-son combination Ward and Jeb Burton.

“We are so excited to welcome LS Tractor USA to the South Boston Speedway family,” said Cathy Rice, general manager of South Boston Speedway.

LS Tractor will be the presenting sponsor of the speedway’s event on September 7, the GCR Presents LS Tractor USA NASCAR Late Model Twin 75s.

The award-winning tractor manufacturer has also become the official tractor provider for South Boston Speedway, providing the track with one of its steel-made tractors for use around the facility.

A South Boston business, Ratliff Service Center, a LS distributor, delivered the tractor and will handle service and maintenance of the machine. Ratliff Service Center is owned by Ronnie Ratliff, a former Late Model competitor at South Boston Speedway.

“I think it is going to help us and all LS dealers quite a bit,” Ratliff said of the new partnership. “We’ve all needed a little extra exposure, and this is going to help.”

Jeb Burton, co-owner of the No. 97 Sellers-Burton Racing Late Model entry at South Boston and competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports, has partnered with LS Tractor along with his father Ward, a Daytona 500 winner.

LS Tractor will be on the hood of Jeb’s JR Motorsports Xfinity car as primary sponsor for two races and associate sponsor for four races.

The younger Burton brought immediate success to the LS Tractor partnership when he drove to a top-10 finish at Michigan International Speedway on June 8.

Fans will be able to spot one of LS Tractors bright blue machines in the infield at South Boston Speedway July 27 for the Italian Delight Family Restaurant Presents “National Night Out” NASCAR Late Model 100.

All emergency services personnel showing proper ID will be admitted for only $5. Other tickets are $10 for adults with children 12-and-under admitted free with a paying adult.

The night of racing will feature a 100-lap race for the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model Stock Car Division. The Limited Sportsman Division competitors will battle it out in a 50-lap race. Twin 15-lap races are set for the Budweiser Pure Stock Division and a 15-lap race is on tap for the Budweiser Hornets Division competitors.
